We process this data for the sole purpose of fulfilling our contract with you, which is to register the digital vignette on your behalf. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (performance of a contract).

Contact Information: When you contact us via our contact form or email, we collect the information you provide (such as your name, email address, and the content of your message) to respond to your inquiry. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in providing customer support, Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

Server Log Files: Our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This may include browser type, operating system, referrer URL, IP address, and time of the server request. This data is not merged with other data sources and serves to ensure the security and stability of our website.

Official Authorities: We share your vehicle registration data with the relevant official authorities in Austria (ASFINAG) to register your digital vignette as requested.

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using the https://travel-ak.me/ website (the “Service”) operated by Travel AK GmbH (“us”, “we”, or “our”).

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

1. Scope and Provider

These Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts concluded between Travel AK GmbH, located at Unter den Linden 77, 10117 Berlin, Germany, and its customers (“customer”, “you”).

We are an independent, third-party service provider that processes the registration of official digital vignettes for Austria on behalf of the customer. We are not an official government body and are not affiliated with any state authorities, including ASFINAG.

2. Description of Service

Our service consists of accepting the customer’s data via our online form, submitting this data to the official registration authority, and paying the official vignette fee on the customer’s behalf. Our service fee is charged for this processing, handling, and support service.

3. Conclusion of Contract

The presentation of our service on the website does not constitute a legally binding offer. By submitting the order form, the customer makes a binding offer to conclude a service contract with us. The contract is concluded only when we send a confirmation of the successful vignette registration to the customer’s provided email address.

4. Customer’s Obligations

The customer is solely and fully responsible for providing accurate and complete information required for the vignette registration. This includes, but is not limited to, the correct license plate number, country of vehicle registration, and the desired validity period. Any errors or inaccuracies in the data provided by the customer may result in an invalid vignette and potential fines, for which we hold no liability.

5. Prices, Payment, and Delivery

All prices displayed on our website are final prices, inclusive of VAT. The price is composed of the official vignette fee and our service fee. Payment is due immediately upon submission of the order. Delivery of the service is completed digitally when the official confirmation of the vignette registration is sent to the customer’s email address.

6. Right of Withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht)

In accordance with German Civil Code (§ 312g Abs. 2 Nr. 8 BGB), the standard 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for services that are highly personalized to the consumer’s specifications.

The digital vignette is a personalized service as it is irrevocably linked to the specific license plate number provided by the customer. By placing an order and submitting payment, the customer expressly consents to the immediate performance of our registration service. Therefore, a withdrawal from the contract and a refund are excluded once the vignette has been successfully registered.

7. Liability (Haftung)

Our liability is limited to cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence. We are not liable for any damages, fines, or legal consequences arising from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that the details on the final confirmation email are correct before traveling.

9. Final Provisions

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contractual relationship is Berlin, Germany.
